Welcome to Makeitmaines, Breeders of the Majestic Maine Coon.
We are a small in-house Cattery situated in St. Helens Tasmania, the lovely Apple Isle.  We are affiliated with the Cat Association of Tasmania. Breeding Maine Coons is a hobby of ours which brings alot of delight into our lives. All our cats and kittens are raised indoors and have the run of the house with a outdoor facility which has natural tree branches for scratching,climbing and surveying their domain. All our kittens are brought up in a housefull of kids, dogs and birds. We are a Petplan Preferred Breeder and a Free 6 week Petplan goes home with every kitten. We breed and sell kittens, and we have begun showing this year with great results. We have got our first Best Of Breed Ribbon with Danae in her first show. With Discord bringing up a second, third and a fourth. Danae also got 5th in the top 5. We have gotten our first ribbon at a show with Discord who got Reserve in Group, she was very well behaved and a little showoff. We have imported from overseas champions which has brought new bloodlines into Australia, after carefully selecting our bloodlines for soundness,size, beauty and health. Our aim is to breed strong Maine Coons which are bred for quality not quantity. Many thanks to our friends Silke and Pearl for helping us on our way. All our breeding felines are tested for HCM & HD.

We welcome to Australia Leokadia and Wyatt. Our stud cat, and his Queen. And we call him:

'The Stud'.

Wyatt will be a busy boy this year. Not only with Leokadia, but also with our Queen who is waiting to meet him:

Our kittens come in a variety of colours. We have produced Red Classic's with White, Red Silvers, Creams, Blue Tortie's, Blue Solid, Blue Classic with White, Blue Classic, Black Classic, Black Tortie with White, Black Tortie Mackerel, Black Tortie Smokes, Silver Tortie Smoke, Cream Smoke. Maine Coon cats are wonderful, loyal and love children and other animals. They get into lots of mischief and could be called the clowns of the cat world. Coons love to play with water and some even take to thieving things like pens and tissues. They are a laugh a minute and are a welcome edition to any family.
